Exterior: On the way to the hospital Night
MAMA VISA and TABU are rushing to the hospital. TABU is pregnant
and in labor, leaning on MAMA VISA for support. There are heavy clouds in the
sky. TABU's face shows the extent of her pain.
MAMA VISA
Exert
yourself, my friend, we are almost at the hospital.
TABU
(Groaning
in pain) I am so tired, Mama Visa. If I had the strength, I would drop this
burden right now.
MAMA VISA
We
are not there yet. Keep going. Being a woman is about courage. After this, you
will forget all your suffering, Tabu. Yes, you will forget!
TABU bends over in pain, crouching down. MAMA VISA looks up at
the sky and it starts to rain. They continue walking. They reach the door of
the hospital and enter.
